The Directorate of Training under the Human Resource Development and Training Division, Bihar Police is responsible for conducting and imparting trainings on two levels :-
Basic Training
To the newly recruited constables, selected by the Central Selection Board of Constable (CSBC) Mandatory pre-promotional training courses:-
SLC for promotion as Havildars
PTC for promotion as ASI.
The Directorate of Training also conducts in-service training courses on sensitive and emerging topics for all ranks of police.
The aim of the in-service course is to upgrade the knowledge and skills of the serving police personnel, to develop leadership qualities in them,
and to guide them on how to remain stress-free while discharging their duties.
Training Directorate is also the nodal office for the nomination of police personnel from constables to IPS officers for training in various
institution/training centers all over the country and abroad.
Human Resource Development and Training Division is headed by Director General of Police (Training), who is assisted by lnspector General
of Police (Training), and Assistant lnspector General of Police (Training).
